There’s something special about getting married at Loon Mountain—between the gondola ride, the summit views, and the relaxed mountain vibe, it’s a perfect spot for a small wedding. This day had all of that, plus one extra star of the show: Charlie, the couple’s one-eyed French bulldog.
The morning started at their rental home in Lincoln, where they got ready with family before heading to Loon. Their first big moment was riding the gondola to the summit. That ride feels like such a unique part of a Loon Mountain wedding—you’re literally lifted up into the White Mountains, with views that only get better the higher you go.
At the top, they shared a first look before exploring the Glacial Caves at Loon Mountain for portraits. It was a fun way to have a little adventure before the ceremony began.
Their ceremony took place at the summit with just 18 guests. They chose to have a Jewish ceremony, with family members reading the Seven Blessings. It felt personal, meaningful, and completely centered on the people who matter most to them.
And of course, Charlie was right there—wandering the aisle and charming everyone.
I also have to give credit to the Loon Mountain wedding staff (especially Stacy!) who made everything flow seamlessly. It’s such a good venue if you’re looking for a place that takes care of the details so you can just enjoy your day.
Charlie wasn’t just part of the ceremony—he was part of the whole day. From portraits at the summit to hanging out during cocktail hour, he was included in everything.
If you’re hoping to have a dog-friendly wedding in New Hampshire, here are a few tips:
After the ceremony, everyone rode the gondola back down and headed to the couple’s rental home. They had cocktail hour on the porch, snuck away for a quick walk with Charlie, then came back for dances, speeches, and a private catered dinner.
Hosting a reception at a rental is such a great option for a New Hampshire microwedding—it keeps things intimate and relaxed, while still feeling special. You get all the celebration without the formality of a large venue.
This incredible microwedding wouldn’t have been possible without these amazing vendors! I highly recommend checking them out if you are planning a wedding in New Hampshire.

From the gondola to the Glacial Caves, and the views at the summit, Loon Mountain weddings are hard to beat. Add in the flexibility for smaller guest counts and the ability to make your day truly your own—whether that’s including your dog, blending traditions, or hosting dinner at a rental—and it’s a spot I’ll always love photographing.
If you’re planning a microwedding or elopement in New Hampshire and want photos that capture both the big views and the small, in-between moments (dogs included), I’d love to be part of your day.
