Jessica and Andrew’s Ellsworth City Hall and Acadia National Park fall elopement was filled with adventure, personal touches, and stunning scenery. If you’re considering an Acadia area fall elopement, this will give you a glimpse of what your day could look like—without needing to hike for miles.
Jessica and Andrew started their morning at a cozy Airbnb surrounded by peak fall colors. The anticipation made for some incredible moments to photograph:
They shared a first look outside, framed by golden leaves, before heading to their ceremony.
To keep things simple, Jessica and Andrew had their ceremony at Ellsworth City Hall. Maine requires two witnesses for a legal ceremony, and City Hall made it easy to take care of the paperwork so they could focus on celebrating.
After saying their vows, they stopped at Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar for ice cream. Adding a favorite activity to your elopement can make the day even more meaningful, and this was a fun way for them to celebrate before heading into the park.
After ice cream, we made our way into Acadia National Park for a sunset hike to North Bubble. This .9-mile round-trip hike is one of my favorite spots in the park. It’s short, easy, and offers some of the best views. As the sun set, the scenery became more and more beautiful!
Jessica and Andrew timed their elopement perfectly to catch Acadia National Park’s peak fall colors. Early October is typically the best time to see the foliage, but it’s also one of the busiest times in the park. If you’re planning a fall elopement in Acadia, I recommend choosing a weekday and aiming for sunrise or sunset to avoid the crowds at popular spots like North Bubble.
